Burglars want to rob your house, will you defend it? This printable escape room is an adventure for kids, families and adults as they trick Harv and Larry, evade capture, and finally turn those burglars over to the police at the end! Use logic and creative thinking to place toy cars just right for the perfect trap, study plans to drop paint cans from the balcony, and create an origami tree house to make your escape! Up to 8 players is recommended, larger groups can print it out twice and even race each other! This test of wits includes 13 challenges to solve in an immersive escape room atmosphere. Clues to the answers deck the halls, floor, and in envelopes players open as the game goes on. Game play is about 60 minutes, with recommended ages 8 and up. Hints are included to help younger players and make the game stress free. A fun challenge at the end finally gets the burglars to jail! Older players can be challenged to solve without using any hints while asking them, “You guys give up? Or are you thirsty for more?”
What's the story?
Your family is off to Paris, but they left you behind! Two burglars, Harv and Larry, are determined to rob your house while everyone is away. They are almost to the doors! You need to find the key to open the upstairs window and find a cell phone to call the cops, all while keeping one step ahead of Harv and Larry! You see a broken tv and some train tracks. Hurry, this is your house, you have to defend it!

Bought the game for our youth group and it was a hit with some and a bust with others. We had 11 teens which was too many for our whole group to stay focused on the activity. The ones who were playing loved it, we ran out of time to finish it at our Christmas party but it went well. Took longer than the suggested 15 minutes to setup for one person with all the cutting out and taping to walls you need to do. All in all it was worth the investment.

The kids had so much fun with this! I used it for two groups of four 11-12 year old boys. They compete to get it done the fastest. Set up was simple with just some cutting and taping to the walls. It took them about 2 hours to complete it. The clues were very helpful for when kids got stuck. It was the perfect amount of challenge for this group.

My three kids (14, 11, 5) just completed the Escape Alone escape room and LOVED IT!! Whilst my youngest was a bit more limited with how much he could participate he enjoyed searching for items around the room and writing the codes on each of the envelopes. My older two kids were thoroughly engaged for over an hour!! It was fun for us adults to watch and encourage them all. We ended the night with home made ‘Little Nero’s Pizza’ and a viewing of Home Alone 2!! Perfect activity for the Christmas season and to kick off the school break. I’m already looking forward to purchasing another printable escape room. Thank you!! I’d just like to add there is a lot of color ink required for printing. I had mine printed at staples which added to the cost but in total it was still worth it for a night’s entertainment and in home fun.
